Our Legacy of Service: From Family Roots to Community Commitment

Helping people has been our passion in this industry for many years as Mark Grubb and his mother led the company together from 1978 until 2015 when it was reinvented as First Response Heating and Cooling, reflecting Mark’s selfless service with the local fire department as a fire chief.

We remain a family business with Mark’s cousin Chad now a business partner. Together, they use their 40 years of experience in the HVAC industry to deliver quality work to the residents of Harford county and nearby towns. Since then we have expanded our company portfolio to include light commercial and business-to-business customers in addition to residential.
